Job description

Chartiers Center is a private, non-profit corporation funded by state, county, 3rd party insurances and private funds. Services include intake, referral, outpatient therapy, psychiatric assessment, service coordination, substance abuse treatment, training and social rehabilitative services, crisis intervention, partial hospitalization, community outreach, day and recreational services for adults with intellectual disabilities, homeless outreach and housing program.  

As a Mental Health Residential Worker in a residential setting with Chartiers Center you would be committed to providing daily living supports to people facing mental health challenges.

Job duties include:  

  • Assisting residents with daily living skills.  

  • Completing necessary skill training in the areas of daily living through hand over hand assistance, direct verbal and written presentation of information and observation, as assigned.  

  • Complete laundry, cleaning and shopping as required.   

  • Effectively respond to, report and document all emergencies/crises/incidents in accordance to relevant policies, procedures and regulations.

Daylight, evenings, weekends, overnight. Flexible scheduling. Employee will earn a 10% shift differential to his/her rate when working the 11p – 7a shift.  

Minimum Qualifications:  

High School Diploma or GED and one year of related experience. Valid PA Driver’s License.
