About the Role
Client is currently seeking qualified and compassionate Mental Health Therapists to join our dedicated behavioral health team in California City. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, non-medical mental health care to individuals in our facility. The Mental Health Therapist will serve in the role of Mental Health Coordinator, offering therapeutic services, assessments, and crisis interventions to support the emotional well-being of inmates.
This is an in-person role and requires current licensure in the State of California.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health screenings and psychological assessments through clinical interviews and record evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on evaluation outcomes and client needs.
- Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy services.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of all treatment and evaluation activities in health records.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Offer crisis interventions and support to inmates experiencing acute psychological distress.
- Collaborate with other mental health providers, security personnel, medical teams, and administrative staff to ensure comprehensive care.
Required Qualifications
- Masterโs degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field.
- Active and unrestricted LPC, LMFT, or LCSW licensure in the State of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Demonstrated ability to apply psychological counseling techniques and provide trauma-informed care.
