Position Title: Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach

Position SummaryThe full-time assistant men's lacrosse coach helps in the organization, development, and administration of competitive NCAA Division II lacrosse program. This position supports student-athlete success on the field, in the classroom, and in the community while upholding NCAA, Great Lakes Valley Conference, and institutional standards.
The assistant coach will help cultivate a competitive, values-driven environment aligned with the College's mission, institutional priorities, and the Division II "Life in the Balance" philosophy.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities - Assist with planning and conducting team practices, training sessions, and skill development
- Support game-day preparation, scouting, and coaching during competitions
- Assist with recruiting prospective student-athletes in compliance with NCAA Division II, GLVC, and institutional rules, working collaboratively with the Office of Admissions and Athletics Compliance Office
- Support academic success, student-athlete well-being, and personal development through monitoring of academic progress, class attendance, study tables, etc.
- Help with program operations, including travel, equipment, and scheduling as assigned, drive vans for team transport when appropriate
- Submit appropriate reports and forms to administrative staff as requested
- Participate in and assist in planning of community engagement, service, and fundraising activities
- Plan, promote, and conduct camps, clinics, and/lessons within institutional, GLVC & NCAA policies
- Promote a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, accountability, and leadership
- Represent the men's lacrosse program, Athletics Department and institution in a professional manner
- Comply with all NCAA, GLVC, and institutional policies and procedures
Qualifications
Required - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Previous playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate, club, or high school level
- Strong knowledge of sport fundamentals, tactics, and training methods
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as assigned
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Have, or be willing to attain, a Missouri Class E Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent
- Have, or be willing to attain, CPR/First Aid Certification
Preferred - Master's degree from an accredited institution
- Previous collegiate coaching experience
