Job Title: Verification Engineer IIย 

Location: Redmond WA Onsite 5 days a week

Duration: 12 months

Job Responsibilities:

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Validate and characterize power subsystems from early proof-of-concept to mass production

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Bring up, debug, and validate power circuitry on prototype hardware

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop and maintain automation frameworks for power measurement and testing

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Execute test cases related to power validation

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Capture power consumption data under different use cases

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Report issues in bug tracking systems and debug with hardware and software teams

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Support root cause analysis for power, SoC/Memory, and other components

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintain and improve validation test reports, plans, and test instructions

Role Description:

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Debug power issues with cross-functional software, firmware, and hardware teams

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Candidate will work on wearable devices, defining power measurement methodologies and bringing up power validation from early proof-of-concept through mass production.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Candidate will implement validation infrastructure to support automation of power measurements and ensure the product meets power KPIs.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Candidate will collaborate with Power and Performance architecture and cross-functional software, firmware, and hardware teams to debug power issues and validate power subsystems from concept to OK2Ship phase.

Must-Have Skills:

1.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience

2.ย ย ย ย ย ย  3+ years of experience validating power subsystems for consumer devices

3.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Working knowledge of Bucks, Boost, LDOs, Load Switches, Fuel Gauge, SoC power, etc.

4.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Basic understanding of Android OS, Linux kernel, and SoC power architecture

5.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Familiarity with communication protocols โ€” I2C, SPI, UART

6.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience defining validation plans for power subsystems

7.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience capturing power consumption data under different use cases

8.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience using lab equipment (multimeters, power supplies, loads, oscilloscopes, data acquisition units)

9.ย ย ย ย ย ย  3+ years of experience writing scripts in Python/LabView

Nice-to-have Skills

1.ย ย ย ย ย ย  experience with Qualcomm chipsets and Qualcomm SOC

2.ย ย ย ย ย ย  deeper understanding of SOC power architecture
