Academic Optometrist - Full-Time

Scope of Practice
- Perform comprehensive eye exams and contact lens evaluations
- Diagnose and manage a full spectrum of ocular diseases and conditions
- Prescribe corrective lenses and therapeutic treatments
- Provide urgent and emergency eye care when needed
- Exercise autonomy in clinical decision making
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the system
- Ensure continuity of care for patients throughout the system
Practice Environment
- Outpatient clinic within a large, academic medical center
- Serve a diverse patient population with a robust referral base

Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited program
- Licensed (or license-eligible) to practice in Massachusetts
- Board certified or board eligible in optometry
