Description
Together with the Member Experience Director, the Membership Service Supervisor is the first point of contact for prospective new members, determining their needs and offering solutions to meet these needs. The Membership Service Supervisor will take a lead to meet and exceed branch sales goals by leading the Membership Advisor Team and completing the administrative work as assigned by the Membership Experience Director to create leads, manage leads in order to create members, and engage members to create lifers at the Y.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A MEMBERSHIP SERVICE SUPERVISOR:
  • Supervise the Welcome Center and manage administrative membership responsibilities as assigned by the Membership Experience Director.
  • Model and deliver excellent customer service to all members, guests, and program participants.
  • Lead the Welcome Center and become an expert in our CRM and living out our service culture.
  • Be the friendly face that each member, guest and program participant see's when first entering the branch.
  • Create positive lasting memories for each person with helpful responses to their needs
  • Execute connections, follow-ups, and inquires for prospective members, new and existing members. Complete weekly reporting as required.
  • Ensure all communication/inquiries are responded to within 24 hours.
  • With direction from Member Experience Director, organize, coordinate, and execute regular community/awareness events (e.g., Open Houses, Community Days, and Community Family Days).
  • Communicate effectively in person, on telephone, and through email with members, peer/co-workers, supervisors, and volunteers.
  • Maintain strong knowledge on YMCA Programs, Services, Membership, Donations, Outreach, and Volunteer opportunities.
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate information on YMCA programs and schedules to members/prospective members to connect with areas of interest and encourage member involvement.
  • Respond to member concerns or problems in positive interactions with member-focused solutions.
  • Attend and lead all staff meeting and Membership Trainings as assigned.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned by the Membership Experience Director or Branch Executive.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A MEMBERSHIP SERVICE SUPERVISOR:
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Working knowledge of computers and office machines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, on telephone, and through email.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations to include members, peers/co-workers, supervisors, and volunteers.
  • Ability to learn and retain information related to programs, services, and membership options.
  • Ability to handle conflict management in a positive manner.
  • Ability to coordinate and plan events and activities.
  • Ability to lead/supervise staff team.
