Description
The Membership Sales Associate is a relationship-driven sales professional and an essential member of the Guest Relations team. This role delivers an exceptional experience for Texas Health employees, community members, and guests while owning the membership sales cycle from first connection through enrollment and follow-up. Texas Health Fitness Centers serve both Texas Health employees and the general public; the Membership Sales Associate builds awareness, develops meaningful prospect relationships, and drives membership growth through tours, outreach, referrals, local business partnerships, and timely follow-up.
MEMBERSHIP SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
  • Own the full membership sales cycle, including prospecting, lead response, needs-based conversations, tours, enrollment, and post-enrollment follow-up.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through phone calls, walk-ins, referrals, community outreach, and lead-generation campaigns.
  • Identify, connect with, and nurture relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and prospective member groups to grow awareness and membership opportunities.
  • Lead informative, personalized facility tours and match prospects with the right membership, personal training, group exercise, and wellness options.
  • Consistently meet individual and team membership, promotion, and service goals while maintaining accurate CRM notes and follow-up activity.

GUEST RELATIONS & MEMBER EXPERIENCE
  • Welcome members, guests, and prospects; assist with check-ins and answer membership, service, and facility questions.
  • Deliver a warm, professional, and personalized experience that helps members feel supported from their first visit onward.
  • Communicate current promotions, programs, schedules, and facility updates clearly and enthusiastically.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and stage-ready fitness-center environment; complete daily facility inspections and assigned cleaning responsibilities.
  • Address member concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to leadership when appropriate.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Accurately manage check-ins, membership sales, scheduling, member notes, and transactions in CRM, lead-generation, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of membership options, equipment, services, wellness programming, policies, and current marketing promotions.
  • Participate in daily huddles, coaching, sales training, and team meetings with the Guest Relations Team Lead and/or General Manager.
  • Support retention by following up with new members and identifying ways to keep members engaged in the Fitness Center community.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Requirements
Minimum qualifications for the position include the following:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - written, verbal, and listening - and very comfortable having effective sales conversations with a wide range of people and organizations;
  • Must be a positive, pro-active, solutions-oriented person who wants to help grow new business and support teammates' success;
  • Thrive in fast-paced, fluid, non-hierarchical environments, and enjoys collaboration with a diverse group of people; and
  • Solid computer skills including use of MS Office, CRM/POS software, and other applications, and a strong interest in health, wellness, and physical fitness with prior industry experience very helpful.
