Position Overview

As a Member Service Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for our members—providing friendly, accurate service and connecting them with the products and services that best meet their needs. If you enjoy helping people and take pride in delivering excellent service, we’d love to meet you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process a variety of financial transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Greet and assist members with deposits, withdrawals, payments, and account inquiries
  • Educate members about credit union products and services to help meet their financial goals
  • Maintain cash drawer accuracy and daily balancing standards
  • Open, update, and close accounts following proper identification and compliance procedures
  • Support branch sales and referral goals for deposits, loans, and services
  • Handle card services, ACH transactions, and member fraud claims as needed
  • Provide professional, courteous service while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous customer service or cash-handling experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable using computers and working in a Windows-based environment
  • Must be bondable
  • Occasional travel to nearby branches may be required

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively. The employee may occasionally be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds several times per day. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work is typically performed indoors in a moderate-noise environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions or proximity to moving mechanical parts. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
