Job description

Position: Assistant Community Manager for Doncaster Village - Parkville, MD

Role Overview

As the Assistant Community Manager, you will assist with all functional tasks related to the day-to-day operation of the multifamily community. This position will require strong leadership and management skills to assist in the oversight of leasing and administrative activity for 616 units. Other responsibilities will include outreach marketing efforts, financial management, and resident satisfaction.

Hourly pay rate + monthly commission + quarterly bonus + $500.00 per month Team Member Management Rent Discount for live-on (if desired) + paid training + health/dental/vision insurance + 401Kmatching + fun events

 Most Important Responsibilities 

  • Assists in maintaining the revenue, expenses, physical and economic occupancy in accordance with the budget and projections. 
  • Successfully manages renewals for resident retention goals.
  • Monitor rent growth and expected turnover to assist in making the necessary adjustments to ensure profitability. 
  • Completes monthly market analysis report with the leasing staff and assists the Community Manager in setting goals to achieve and maintain expected occupancy and revenue levels. 
  • Reporting on weekly traffic trends to make informed pricing recommendations.
  • Informs Community Manager of any suspected housing violations, special resident arrangements or potential liability issues. 
  • Takes an active role in coaching and developing a team of 3 Leasing Specialists.
  • Address and resolve resident issues and/or escalate them to the Community Manager as appropriate. 

Most Important Qualifications

  • ACM or supervisory exp preferred, minimum of 3 years’ property management exp required.
  • Ability to coach and develop Team Members to uphold strong operational standards.
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding performance benchmarks and KPI’s.
  • Organizational skills, strong follow up, attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently handle resident issues.
  • Available to assist with Saturday office coverage as needed.
