Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Opens consumer new accounts and performs account maintenance.
  • Balances cash drawer daily to assure accuracy in transactions.
  • Produces quality work efficiently and free from errors.
  • Research, troubleshoot and resolve member inquiries.
  • Applies advanced knowledge and logic to all activities and member interactions and creates solutions that are in the best interests of members.
  • Provides member service in accordance to CCU standards.
  • Works to establish and deepen relationships with members so CCU is the members first choice when a financial decision is made.
  • Proactively offers products and services as solutions to member needs that result in sales and referrals to business partners throughout the credit union.
  • Ability to attain goals as set by management on a consistent and continual basis.
  • Cross Trains in other branch/department functions as determined by Branch Manager, as well as demonstrating the ability and willingness to cross train other employees in the operational, sales and service aspects of their position.
  • Demonstrates the organization's service commitment in all member interactions. Ensures a positive and professional team environment.
  • Performs duties as assigned by management and may be assigned to work at any branch.
  • The credit union promotes continual education and career development. As such self-development initiatives are expected, including attending branch and organizational meetings, educational sessions, seminars or courses as requested.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.ย 
  • One or more years of cash handling experience.ย 
  • Ability to manage relationships at all levels throughout the organization.ย 
  • Knowledge of regulations pertaining to accounts, services, confidentiality, disclosure requirements and lending is preferred.ย 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.ย 
  • Experience in a banking environment is preferred.ย 
  • Demonstrated member service and sales ability.ย 
  • Professional and service attitude.ย 
  • Utilization of online/mobile banking related services.ย
