Melt Shop Laborer

Pay: $18-$18.50/hour
Schedule: 7:00am - 7:00pm OR 7:00pm - 7:00am
Location: Loxley, AL

Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is hiring Melt Shop Laborers for a manufacturing facility in Loxley. This is a heavy industrial role working in a hot furnace environment. Candidates should be comfortable working around heat, performing physical tasks, and following strict safety procedures.

Schedule

The plant operates 24 hours a day with two available shifts:

☀️ Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
???? Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (+$0.50/hour shift differential)

Rotating Schedule:

  • One week: Work Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday (48 hours)
  • Following week: Work Sunday, Wednesday & Thursday (36 hours)
Responsibilities

✅ Assist with melt shop operations in a hot industrial environment
✅ Perform general labor duties to support production
✅ Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
✅ Maintain a clean and organized work area
✅ Assist operators and team members as needed
✅ Perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift

Requirements

✅ Ability to work in a hot manufacturing environment
✅ Comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts
✅ Ability to stand, lift, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
✅ Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
✅ Ability to follow safety guidelines and instructions
✅ Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
