Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit, build, and strengthen relationships within market group sales seeking opportunities through various sales channels and working to build long-term value-based customer relationships.
  • Respond to RFPs, prepare proposals and upsell each business opportunity to maximize revenue potential.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations for conferences and events.
  • Conduct site tours for clients as needed and provide personalized service and support throughout the planning process, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
  • Foster long-term relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service and anticipating their needs for future events.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of Group Sales experience at a full-service hotel, with a preference for a background in a larger hotel setting with over 200 rooms and meeting/event space.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors through various platforms, including phone and email.
  • Proficiency in event sales software, Delphi/Salesforce preferred, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant computer applications.
  • Travel to industry-related trade shows and/or outside sales calls will be required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event planning, or related field is preferred.
