House Parent - Sibling Group Neighborhood Foster Home
At 4KIDS, we are passionate about providing hope, homes, and healing to children in crisis through Christ-centered ministry. We are currently seeking compassionate, mission-driven House Parent(s) to serve in our neighborhood foster home for children. This is a full time paid live in position. As a House Parent, you will provide a stable, loving family environment where brothers and sisters can remain together while they heal from trauma, experience consistency, and grow in a nurturing Christ-centered home.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide loving, consistent supervision and care for infants, toddlers, and children up to age 12.
  • Create and maintain a safe, clean, structured, and welcoming family home
  • Prepare nutritious meals and oversee daily household routines
  • Mee the developmental needs of children and various ages
  • Preserve and strengthen sibling relationships by encouraging healthy interactions and family connection
  • Transport children to school, daycare, appointments, family visitation, and extracurricular activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation regarding behaviors, milestones, appointments, medication, and incidents
  • Support Children's educational success through homework assistance, reading, and communication with teachers
  • Collaborate with case managers, Child Advocates, families, and community partners
  • Make decisions regarding children's' needs
  • Respond appropriately to behavioral or emotional crises using trauma-informed care practices
  • Respond calmly and appropriately to behavioral or emotional challenges using trauma-informed care practices
  • Build trusting relationships while modeling compassion, accountability, and healthy family dynamics
  • Support the spiritual growth and emotional well-being of children through encouragement, prayer, and Christ-like example when appropriate
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and lifestyle consistent with biblical values
  • Actively support the Christian mission, vision, and core values of 4KIDS
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience working with children, foster care, childcare, residential care, or related human service fields preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage behaviors and remain calm in crisis situations
  • Passion for serving vulnerable children and families through ministry-minded care
  • Compassion for children and families from hard places
  • Ability to live onsite in the neighborhood foster home
  • Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
