Job description

OurMedTechField Service Engineerexperiences a unique opportunityemploytheir technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and leading technical initiatives in medical device technology. You willbe responsible forperiodic maintenance,installingandupdatingas needed formedical devices includinglaboratory diagnostic unitsin hospitals across the United States, while delivering exceptional customer service. This isa great opportunityfor you to advance your technical skills in the medical device industry!

Please Note:This is a 100% travel position. Local, Regional and National travelrequired.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on-site hospital staff.

  • Organizing, testing, and updating medical devices, installing, and configuring hardware, software, and network products.

  • Conduct routine checks and records data from product tests after installation and configuration.

  • Document and submit daily data while maintaining high standards of product support quality documentation.

  • Full-time commitment requires travel locally, regionally, and nationally.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational classes asrequired andreviewing technical bulletins.

  • Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.

  • Maintain credentials required by Client's customers through credentialing servicessuch as GHX (Vendormate) or Reptrax.

You will have an opportunity to travel, grow, and expand into new opportunities while earning supplemental income and learning the medical device industry.

Schedule:

  • Assignment-based schedule with30-40hour commitment per week and overtime as needed.This role comes with a guarantee of 24 hours per week but the expected work is up to 40 hours per week.

RequiredQualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Schoolinbiomedical engineering or

  • 3-5+years' experiencein the repair, maintenance, and installationof medical diagnostic equipment used in a laboratory settingin lieu ofeducation based on experience.

  • Biomedical, hardware, electrical,mechanical and diagnosticrepair and troubleshootingexperience isrequired.

  • Professional business acumen and effective communication skillsrequired.

  • Self-motivatedindividualwho can work independently or collaboratively within a team,required.

  • Ability to respond to clients by travelingwhen needed to address repairs or maintenance

  • Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure on-time completion of project assignments.

  • An active and unrestricted driver license, and a personal vehicle for local work-related assignments.

  • Abilityto sit and stand for long periods of time andlift upto 70 pounds, required.

  • Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements.

  • Position may/will require up to date immunizations.

Travel Requirement:

  • Full-time commitment with travel flexibility.

  • Assignment-based schedule with 40+ hour commitment per week. Travel nationally to support customer needs. There is not a guarantee of 40+ hours per week in this role, but it is theask.

  • Driving is considered a business requirement for this role.Candidates mustpossessa valid driver's license and will be subject to a review of their driving record prior tohire.

  • Personal vehiclerequiredfor job-related assignments up to 3 hours from home.

  • Located within 1 hour of a major airport.

  • Travel, and your time traveling is paid.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in biomedical, networking, military, or field-based technician roles

  • Experience working in a technical role within a healthcare environment.

  • Strong computer skills and comfort with troubleshooting with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and OneNote, etc.
