Job Description

Summary:
Seeking a qualified CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in San Pedro, CA. This mid-shift position will support both CT and X-ray units in a busy acute care environment. Ideal for well-rounded techs with strong cross-functional radiology skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT scans and X-ray exams according to physician orders.

  • Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment and assist with diagnostic image quality assurance.

  • Follow radiation safety protocols and assist with patient positioning and care during imaging.

  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation using Meditech EMR.

  • Rotate into on-call shifts as required.

  • Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging.

Key Requirements:

  • Must have X-ray experience in addition to CT.

  • Float between CT and X-ray as needed.

  • Rotational on-call duty required.

  • All RTO must be declared at the time of submission.

  • Guaranteed hours: Facility may cancel one shift per two-week pay period.

  • First-time travelers accepted.

  • Parking: Free on-site.

Qualifications

Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience:
Minimum 1 year of CT experience required
X-ray competency required

License/Certifications:

  • ARRT (R)

  • ARRT (CT) – Advanced Certification

  • California Fluoroscopy Permit – Required

  • BLS (AHA)

Skills:

  • CT and diagnostic X-ray imaging

  • Radiation safety and positioning techniques

  • Operation of imaging equipment and PACS systems

  • Effective time management and multi-tasking

  • Patient-centered care and communication

  • Meditech charting experience preferred
