About the Position:
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Wellness Coordinator to support and deliver a holistic, experiential wellness program within our residential treatment environment. This role plays a key part in enhancing the client experience by integrating mind, body, and spirit practices into daily programming, helping individuals build healthy habits that support long-term recovery.

The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for facilitating a diverse range of activities, including outdoor experiential groups, mindfulness-based practices, and structured wellness programming. This includes leading hiking and seasonal outdoor activities, supporting challenge course initiatives, and, with appropriate training, guiding specialized experiences such as yoga, meditation, and ceremonial programming.


This position requires a strong ability to connect with clients, create a safe and engaging group environment, and collaborate closely with the clinical team to support individualized care. The ideal candidate brings energy, adaptability, and a passion for wellness, along with a willingness to continue developing skills across a variety of experiential and therapeutic modalities.

Schedule:
Per Diem, minimum of 8 hours per month

Your Role:

  • Maintains educational curriculum
  • Program coverage for Wellness program as required or requested
  • Facilitating the Change in Action Experience - a 2.5-day activity with a group of up to 10 clients at our campsite
  • Facilitating Sweat lodge experiences as training and experience allows
  • Lead Hiking & snowshoeing activities
  • Facilitate High & Low Challenge Course activities as training and experience allows
  • Facilitates yoga, meditation and all spiritually oriented programs as training and experience allows
  • Provide a range of approved techniques to maximize mind body spirit recovery for the community in a simple, engaging and direct way
  • Communicate with other counselors about issues related to their clients
  • Document and individualize all group notes utilizing approved Sigmund procedures by the end of each shift
  • Ensure proper tracking of client attendance in wellness offerings
  • Completes all tasks necessary for client experience in a professional manner
  • Continue seeking training in professional skill-set and stay current with certifications
  • Design and organize classes that best address client Wellness
  • Comply with all federal, state and accreditation regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Wilderness First Aid and CPR preferred
  • Level 2 challenge course certification preferred

Compensation:


The base rate of pay for this position is $25.00 to $30.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
