Ellie Mental Health is looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team! As we expand our services, we are launching a new medication management service line to support our clients with integrated psychiatric care. This is an opportunity to step into a role with immediate demand while helping shape how psychiatric services are delivered within a high-growth outpatient setting.

As a PMHNP, you will practice with support from a strong administrative and clinical support system. You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive care for diverse populations, including adolescents, adults, and older adults.

About Ellie Mental Health

Ellie Mental Health is a growing mental health organization designed to support clinicians so they can focus on what matters most โ€” helping clients. We provide centralized administrative support including scheduling, billing, referrals, and technology so our providers can spend less time on paperwork and more time delivering care.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations (initial assessments)
  • Diagnose mental health conditions and develop medication treatment plans
  • Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up careMonitor patient progress and adjust medications as needed
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation (evaluations and med management notes)
  • Collaborate with therapists to support coordinated, whole-person care
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and payer requirements
Caseload Expectations
  • Initial evaluations and follow-ups structured for outpatient efficiency
  • Approximately: 20โ€“25 patient visits per week (full-time)
  • 10โ€“15 patient visits per week (part-time)
Required Qualifications
  • Fully licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Board certified (ANCC or AANP)
  • Active license in the state of Virginia
  • Multi-state licensure preferred
  • Active DEA or CDS license
  • Valid NPI and malpractice insurance
  • Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in outpatient or private practice settings
  • Comfort managing a high-functioning outpatient caseload
  • Experience working with insurance-based populations
  • Comfort treating a range of conditions (anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related disorders)
  • Interest in helping develop and grow a new service line
Compensation
  • Competitive compensation with a base + productivity model
  • Estimated annual earnings range: $100,000 โ€“ $140,000+, depending on schedule, patient volume, and payer mix
  • Fee-for-service structure with strong earning potential as caseload builds
