Job description

Under the direction of the Prescription Team Lead and the Manager of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services, the Medication Access Coordinator is responsible for answering phone calls, documentation and data entry related to providing medication prescription refills and medication prior authorizations for patients as requested. This position may be held by a certified Medical Assistant or a licensed Pharmacy Technician. One-two years of successful working experience as a Pharmacy Technician or as Medical Assistant.
Required: Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program with Medical Assistant certification through one of the following national organizations OR must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Massachusetts.
