Hi,

We are currently hiring for the Medicaid Data Warehouse and Reporting Systems Analyst role (Job ID: HBITS-08-14980) with one of our clients in Albany, NY. As a prime vendor to New York State, we support their HBITS (Hourly-Based IT Services) requirements.

Position Details:

  • Title: Medicaid Data Warehouse and Reporting Systems Analyst
  • Duration: 30 Months
  • Location: Albany, NY 12211 (3 days onsite per week)
  • Interview Mode: Single round, Virtual

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, develop, and revise flow charts, process models and technical specifications describing as-is or to-be Information Technology (IT) systems or business processes
  • Review business requirements documentation with the technical project manager and programmers to ensure clarity in implementation of technical design.
  • Participate in business requirement and joint application development sessions to inform report options.
  • Implement systems and program design to meet complex business needs and author technical design documents. Create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation.
  • Assist project manager in developing report time estimates and completing assigned tasks.
  • Participate in development as data expert, with specialization in report development. Ensure report development by coding, testing, debugging, implementing, and documenting programs, and by developing test plans to verify program logic and output.
  • Troubleshoot end-user technical issues, identifying report problems and leading solutions.
  • Support release management process including technical steps to promote, test and release through the development environment, coordinating with infrastructure staff.
  • Use waterfall, iterative and agile software development life cycle methodologies.
  • Write Queries โ€“ support the reconciliation of the MDW, CMS 64 and eMedNY utilizing MARS reports โ€“ this facilitates claim reporting to the Centers for Medicaid/Medicare systems โ€“ T-MSIS.
  • Assist in querying Data sources to determine the validity of project outputs.
  • Document data architecture.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 84 months of experience in the area of: Public health information Systems such as Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program.
  • 84 months of experience using Oracle products including: SQL Developer, SQL Plus, and executing SQL scripts using DBeaver to query Vertica and Oracle Databases.
  • 84 months of experience working with Stakeholders and vendors in the entire project life cycle from requirement gathering to Implementation.
  • 84 months of experience with Center for Medicaid/Medicare Systems Standards and Codes such as EDI 837, EDI 834, ICD Codes, HIPAA, etc. and various CMS Medicaid Reports such as TMSIS, CMS64, etc.
  • 64 months of experience in the analysis, design and testing of enterprise applications using JAVA/J2EE, XML, SOAP, DB2/Oracle and Web Services.
  • 36 months of experience in a large volume Data Warehouse Environment processing billions of healthcare records, understanding of various ETL Databases like Source, Staging and Publishing and the related Row and Column Level security.
