Job description

Providence Medical Group is a progressive organization offering competitive compensation and benefits in a supportive, professional work environment. At Providence you will find patient centered care for every member of your family.

We are currently in search of an experienced Medical Assistant (Certified or registered preferred) who likes to connect with people and has a compassionate outlook for our Germantown location.

PMG Germantown, like all Providence Medical Group primary care practices, is a recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home, and focuses on building lasting patient relationships based on trust and continuity of care.

What you will do:

  • Room patients. Measure and record vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
  • Complete patient interview and history.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures. Assist with procedures as ordered by provider.
  • May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
  • Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
  • Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
  • Administrative/clerical duties as required

Skills:

  • Experience working as a Medical Assistant in a physicians office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; dependable attendance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments
  • Ability to draw blood
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, computer skills and HIPAA compliance

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Certificate from a Medical Assisting Program. State or national certification preferred.
