Position Summary:

The welder is responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling metal components according to specifications and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical ability, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.


Shift:

Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm but hours could vary


Essential Job Functions:

  • Must be able to weld steel.
  • Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications.
  • Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.
  • Interpreting specifications and blueprints accurately.
  • Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.
  • Operate forklift as required (Must be properly licensed in accordance with existing company policy).
  • May be required by management to perform other reasonable work-related tasks.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1–2 years of MIG welding experience (or completion of an accredited welding program)
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand welding symbols
  • Strong understanding of welding safety and PPE requirements
  • Proficiency using fabrication tools, measuring devices, and basic shop math
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Certification in welding is a plus, but not required.
