In addition to waste services, MedXwaste.com specializes in secure paper shredding, hard drive destruction, and product destruction to protect sensitive information and materials. The organization focuses on reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance, supporting customers with streamlined, professional waste management solutions.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Waste Sales role based in West Haven, CT. The Medical Waste Sales professional is responsible for prospecting and generating new business with healthcare facilities, laboratories, pharmacies, and other organizations that require medical and hazardous waste services. Daily activities include conducting outbound calls, in-person visits, and presentations; qualifying leads; preparing proposals; and negotiating contracts aligned with company pricing and service standards. The role involves maintaining relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities to expand services such as pharmaceutical waste, paper shredding, and destruction solutions, and collaborating with operations and compliance teams to ensure service quality. The position requires regular reporting on sales activities and performance and active participation in local networking and industry events to build brand awareness.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in B2B sales, including prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline management, and closing new accounts.
  • Experience building and maintaining customer relationships, with strong account management and customer service capabilities.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn about medical, hazardous, and pharmaceutical waste regulations, including compliance and safety requirements.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical services to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including territory planning and consistent follow-up.
  • Comfort working in an on-site, field-oriented environment and visiting customer locations regularly.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and basic office productivity tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations).
  • Prior experience in healthcare, waste management, environmental services, or related industries is beneficial.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client visits in the region.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
