Job description

SIGN-ON BONUS UP TO $15,000!

Reporting to the Chief or Senior Engineer: This position is responsible for (but not limited to) the operation, maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment required to supply the hospital complex with electrical power, water, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, medical air, medical gases, medical vacuum, steam, soft water, plumbing, physical plant. Ensure that all HVAC equipment is in good working order and that the physical plant and mechanical rooms are in a safe working environment at all times. Monitors and controls boilers and chillers necessary for heating and air-conditioning of hospital buildings. Ensuring generators supplying electrical power to machinery and auxiliary equipment continue to operate in good condition. Notify & assists Chief or Senior Engineer with equipment shut downs, repairs and major maintenance. Ensures that the Preventive Maintenance Program (Work Orders) assigned to them are completed or closed out by the end of the shift or report to Senior Engineer and log into logbook of open status. Performs minor or major repairs when necessary on all facility related equipment. Responds to all trouble calls and maintenance requests for the hospital or facility.

Education: High school or GED required

Liscense/Certification:

  • First Class Stationary Unlimited License (preferred)
  • Stationary Limited license required

Experience: 1-3 years minimum experience (required)
