How you will make history here...
The Trade Analyst oversees the trade promotion management system (TPM) data and hierarchies, solves problems for user community, helps with business plan development, proactively eliminates pricing discrepancies before billing, proactive event controls and approvals, and conducts training of the TPM system.
It requires a strong aptitude in systems, data hierarchies, Pricing Processes and master data management, as well as basic understanding in business analytics and trade mechanics. Additionally, this role Drives Business results through analytical analysis of the systems data, and improved Trade Events and System Practices. They provide value added analysis to the Trade Governance meetings with Sales Finance, Sales, leading critical metrics improvement with Customer Planning and Field Sales.
What you will do...
  • TRADE PROMOTION PLANNING SYSTEM MAINTENANCE - Partner with key stakeholders to collect accurate and timely inputs for TPM (list prices, guardrails, hierarchies, etc.) and validate successful load into TPM system. Actively manage group level security for TPM system, process changes for new and existing users, initiate quarterly audits of group level security database. Create and utilize control processes and reports to ensue system accuracy AND TIMELY APPROVALS.
  • DRIVE BUSINESS RESULTS by analysis of Top / Bottom event file identifying planning errors and low ROI events and recommend alternative programming to improve ROI and Net Sales results.
  • Actively participate in monthly TRADE GOVERNANCE MEETINGS for Regions of Responsibility and completion of meeting follow ups. Proactively, identify business opportunities to drive improvement in the areas of Promotion ROI to the team, streamlining deduction processes, and influencing process improvement.
  • Work with Sales teams to ACCURATELY MANAGE PRICING AND EVENT LIFE CYCLES, such as, evaluation of event status, spending completion vs plan variance, liaison between Acct Management and Deduction Management to expedite information for high value, time critical deductions AND PROACTIVE DEDUCITON ELIMINATION BEFORE THE BILLING PROCESS.
  • Ensure Customer Sales Leads (CSL's) are PROPERLY TRAINED in Trade Suite System / e4 and Deduction Workbench. Be the "Help Desk" for the Trade Suite System and e4.
  • ANALYZE Gross to Net report on monthly basis and identify forecast accuracy opportunities at PPG level. Take findings to team and influence improved forecasting through utilization of basic Standard Deviation Statistics.
  • Support Small Customer "Static" & "No Trade Rate Customers" Proactive Event Life Cycle Analysis including identification of poor ROI events before execution, approval status, deduction elimination efforts, accurate Pricing Evaluations of Events

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in support of Field Sales or Trade System experience.

  • Microsoft Office - Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills required.
  • Experience downloading reports from systems to Excel.
  • Experience analyzing data and summarizing findings.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to present finding to Sr Sales Management

This role is based in our Hanover, PA office 3 days a week (hybrid).
Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$46,600-$67,000
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
