Job description

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning | Glastonbury, CT

Full-Time | Veteran-Owned | Founding Team | Leadership Opportunity

Build It. Lead It. Be Proud of It.

We're not looking for someone to simply fill an installer position.

We're looking for someone who can help build our installation department.

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is building its Greater Hartford operation, and we're assembling our founding field team.

We're veteran-owned and leadership-driven, with a culture built around accountability, craftsmanship, teamwork, integrity, and taking care of people.

If you're an experienced installer who's ready for more responsibility and wants to grow as the company grows, this could be your place.

Why Join Us?
  • Founding-team opportunity — Help establish the standards and culture from the beginning.

  • Leadership path — We want to develop future supervisors and managers internally.

  • Craftsmanship matters — Quality work without a cut-corners mentality.

  • Professional operation — Training, technology, processes, and support designed to help you succeed.

  • Your voice matters — Help shape how our installation department operates.

  • Growth — Join while we're building, not after the leadership seats are filled.

Career Path:

Installer → Lead Installer → Install Supervisor → Install Manager → Operations Leadership

What You'll Do
  • Lead residential HVAC installations and replacements

  • Install furnaces, AC systems, heat pumps, air handlers, and related equipment

  • Complete proper startup and commissioning

  • Ensure installations meet code, manufacturer, and company standards

  • Maintain clean, professional job sites

  • Communicate professionally with homeowners

  • Prevent callbacks through quality workmanship

  • Mentor apprentices and developing installers

  • Help establish and improve installation standards

What We're Looking For Required
  • Active Connecticut D-2 or S-2 HVAC Journeyperson License

  • EPA Section 608 certification

  • Strong residential HVAC installation experience

  • Experience with furnaces, AC systems, heat pumps, controls, and system startup

  • Strong troubleshooting ability

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

  • A leadership mindset and pride in your craft

Highly valued: EPA Universal, ServiceTitan experience, NATE certification, OSHA training, and experience leading crews or mentoring apprentices.

What You Can Expect From Us

Competitive compensation, overtime opportunities, performance incentives, professional tools and technology, training, certification development, leadership development, and genuine advancement opportunities.

High standards work both ways.

If we expect professionalism from you, you should expect professionalism from us.

Veteran-Owned. Built to Lead.

You don't have to be a veteran to work here.

You do need to believe in service, accountability, integrity, teamwork, leadership, and excellence.

We're looking for people who want more than their next HVAC job.

We want the people who will help build this company—and eventually lead it.

If that's you, we want to meet you.
