Territory Sales Manager – Medical Equipment Sales

About the job

EZ Way, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to drive revenue growth and build strong customer relationships across hospitals, long-term care facilities, and nursing homes throughout a multi-state territory. This is a travel-intensive, field-based role for a driven sales professional who thrives on face-to-face customer engagement and closing new business.

Territory

This role covers Washington, Oregon, & Idaho. The territory includes substantial repeat business, short-to-moderate sales cycles, and strong growth opportunity through effective follow-up and customer education.

Key Responsibilities

· Own and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and demonstrations to closing and post-sale follow-up.

· Conduct in-person meetings, cold calls, and product demonstrations with clinical staff, BioMed, and leadership.

· Maintain disciplined territory planning, CRM activity, and pipeline management to meet or exceed monthly and annual goals.

· Travel 70–80% of the time, engaging customers face-to-face and executing structured territory coverage.

· Collaborate with internal sales support, service, and a Territory Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer experience.

Compensation & Benefits

· Base salary starts at $60,750 (increasing up to $72,750 after four successful performance increases), plus uncapped, tiered commission up to 7.5%.

(Tiered commission is as follows; 1.5% of commissionable sales at 60% of target, 3% of commissionable sales at 70% of target, 4.5% of commissionable sales at 80% of target, 6% of commissionable sales at 90% of target, 7.5% of commissionable sales at or above target. No cap on commission.)

The TSM owns the full sales cycle—from initial contact and product demonstration through purchase order and post-sale follow-up—while serving as the primary face of EZ Way, Inc. in the territory. Success in this role requires comfort with extensive travel, disciplined territory planning, strong organizational skills, and the ability to build long-term, value-driven customer relationships.

This position requires approximately 70–80% travel, with the majority of working hours spent on the road in the field engaging customers face-to-face. The TSM works closely with internal support teams, including the National Sales Manager, a Territory Sales Associate (TSA), sales customer support, and service, to effectively execute territory strategy, complete sales, and deliver exceptional customer experience. The Territory Sales Manager is accountable for consistently meeting and striving to exceed assigned monthly and annual sales quotas through disciplined territory execution, strong pipeline management, and effective follow-up.

Duties & Responsibilities

Sales & Territory Management

· Consistently meet assigned monthly and annual sales goals through effective territory management, pipeline discipline, and execution excellence.

· Own and manage all customer and prospect activity.

· Conduct in-person meetings, demonstrations, cold calls, and follow-ups.

· Manage full sales cycle through post-sale follow-up.

· Maintain rolling five-week territory plan in Zoho CRM.

· Attend company-sponsored trade shows and events.

Travel & Field Execution (Core Role Expectation)

· 70–80% travel required; this is a road-based sales position.

· Drive to and actively see customers and prospects 26–30 hours per week, Monday through Thursday.

· Overnight travel is expected to be four out of every five weeks.

· Use company-provided EZ Way van; personal vehicles not permitted for sales activity.

· Utilize CRM software (Zoho) and scheduling software (RouteIQ) to plan routes efficiently to maximize daily field time.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Building

· Determine key leaders (management and staff) and stakeholders of each customer.

· Conduct product demonstrations with clinical staff, BioMed, and leadership.

· Build long-term customer relationships through consistent face-to-face engagement.

· Provide ongoing education and training.

· Communicate EZ Way’s value proposition clearly.

CRM, Activity, & Reporting Expectations

· Document all activities in Zoho CRM immediately following meeting

· Ensure all opportunities (leads and deals) have next activities and close dates.

· Manage tasks and follow-ups to avoid past-due items.

· Use Zoho mapping tools to optimize routes.

Coordination & Internal Collaboration

· Work closely with TSA for scheduling and logistics.

· Effectively communicate with the customer support department for pricing, quotes, and orders.

· Provide feedback on market conditions and territory performance.

Friday Office / Planning Responsibilities

· Fridays are typically non-travel office days.

· Update Zoho CRM (tasks, calls, opportunities, close dates).

· Review pipeline and follow-up requirements.

· Submit expense reports and inventory documentation.

· Plan and finalize upcoming five-week travel schedule.

· Coordinate with TSA and internal teams.

Equipment, Inventory, & Vehicle Responsibilities

· Transport and demonstrate EZ Way equipment.

· Track demo and trial equipment accurately.

· Complete monthly inventory audits.

· Maintain company vehicle per fleet guidelines.

Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities

· Submit timely and accurate expense reports.

· Attend required training and meetings.

· Maintain professional conduct and policy compliance.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

· Regularly load, unload, and transport equipment using ramps, including pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items to and from the company vehicle.

· Lift and carry equipment and accessories, typically up to 50 pounds, and perform frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and standing throughout the day.

· Conduct live product demonstrations and presentations for individuals and groups, including clinical staff and leadership.

· Provide hands-on training and education, requiring repetitive movement and sustained physical engagement.
