You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients.
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to handle incoming calls in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment. The position involves documenting interactions, managing complex scheduling, and achieving department-specific performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
  • Handle incoming calls in a high-volume call center environment.
  • Manage an average call volume of approximately 70 calls per shift.
  • Maintain a minimum availability rate of 93% during scheduled working hours.
  • Log in promptly and be ready to take calls at the start of each shift.
  • Utilize EPIC systems to document calls, update records, and access customer or patient information.
  • Coordinate and manage complex scheduling, including appointments, changes, and follow-ups.
  • Provide accurate and efficient service while documenting interactions in real time.
  • Meet or exceed department-specific performance metrics and expectations.
  • Follow all established guidelines, procedures, and call handling processes.
  • Maintain professionalism and strong communication skills in all customer interactions.

Qualifications
  • EPIC experience required.
