Job description

The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist is skilled in performing a full range of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures essential for diagnosing various medical conditions. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care, adapting techniques to meet the developmental needs of patients across all age groups.
Education and Formal Training
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited radiologic sciences program. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography is required or candidates must be registry eligible. Maintaining current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred. New graduates who are ARRT registered or registry eligible are encouraged to apply; however, those registry eligible must obtain ARRT registration within twelve months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. The technologist must demonstrate excellent patient care abilities, understanding growth and development stages, and effectively interacting with patients of all ages.
Physical Requirements
This position involves prolonged standing, bending, and manual dexterity. The ability to assume awkward positions, respond quickly in emergencies, and lift up to 100 lbs or carry objects up to 50 lbs is necessary. Exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials may occur.
Licenses and Certifications
ARRT certification in Radiography is required. Current BLS certification must be maintained.
