Description

Quickmed's Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing radiologic exams in accordance with established procedures to ensure patient care and safety. This role includes duties related to proper film identification, storage, reporting, and registration.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiologic exams as per established procedures, ensuring patient safety and quality of care.
  • Ensure proper film identification, labeling, and storage in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Accurately report and document exam results as required.
  • Perform patient registration duties, including verifying patient information and preparing records.
  • Maintain and operate radiologic equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding during procedures.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including radiation protection standards, to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the radiology department.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to ensure the timely delivery of accurate diagnostic images.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited training facility for Registered/Certified Medical Assistant.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a physician practice or clinic setting (required).
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • ARRT Certification and Ohio Radiologic License required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in operating radiologic equipment and technology.
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Ability to accurately position patients for optimal imaging results.
  • Excellent attention to detail for proper film identification, labeling, and documentation.
  • Strong communication skills to explain procedures and provide patient instructions clearly.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing patient records and maintaining equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality patient care.
  • Knowledge of radiation protection and safety protocols to minimize exposure risks.
  • Capability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
