REPORTS TO: Senior Medical Physicist

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Medical Physics Assistant is a member of the radiation oncology team who applies their knowledge of physics to assist the senior medical physicist in performing patient-specific quality assurance, as well as QA on various radiation therapy equipment. The individual will adhere to the principles of Service Excellence and the philosophy and mission of Jaeger Corporation in all aspects of job performance.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Perform Monthly mechanical and imaging QA, Monthly CT/PET CT QA,
  2. Perform patient QA (IMRT, SRS (W-L, stereophan), Electron Cutouts etc.
  3. Assist with commissioning activities as necessary,
  4. Assist with other physics-related projects as necessary
  5. Write up physics protocols for Jaeger Corporation as assigned.
  6. Improve the monthly QA spreadsheet/checklist/workflow
  7. Improve the annual QA spreadsheet/checklist/workflow.
Requirements:

Master's degree in Medical Physics, CAMPEP-approved program is preferred.
