Job description

Job Posting: Experienced Prelitigation Paralegal

Peterson Law Office is seeking an experienced Prelitigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury prelitigation and/or experience as a paralegal in an insurance defense setting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate professionally with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other parties involved in the claims process.

Responsibilities

·       Open and manage claims with insurance companies

·       Request, track, and organize medical records and billing records

·       Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status, treatment updates, and required documentation

·       Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other applicable parties

·       Assist with gathering and reviewing documents needed to evaluate claims

·       Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files

·       Monitor deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding requests

·       Provide administrative and case-management support to attorneys and legal staff as needed

Qualifications

·       Prior experience as a prelitigation paralegal, preferably in personal injury, and/or experience as a paralegal in an insurance defense setting

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

·       Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive

·       Professional demeanor when communicating with clients and third parties

·       Experience with NetDocuments is a plus

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Office is a plus

- Fluency in Spanish or French is a plus

Position Requirements

·       Full-time, in-office position

·       Experience handling prelitigation case tasks from claim opening through resolution

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·       Strong follow-up skills and commitment to client service
