This position primarily operates in a remote setting, providing a comfortable workspace allowing for greater flexibility to meet your needs and those of your clients. • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to accurately identify clients' mental health concerns, utilizing a variety of assessment tools and methodologies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client assessments and preferences, ensuring interventions are grounded in proven therapeutic modalities.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions via teletherapy, ensuring ease of access for clients who may face barriers to in-person meetings, such as mobility issues or geographical constraints.
• Establish clear therapeutic goals with clients at the outset of treatment, actively monitoring their progress and making necessary adjustments to their treatment as needed.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation that adheres to ethical and regulatory standards, safeguarding both confidentiality and quality of care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, engaging in training programs and workshops to enhance clinical skills and keep abreast of emerging practices in mental health.

The Mental Health Therapist at Alta Med will work with a diverse array of clients suffering from a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. The therapist's role will not only focus on immediate crisis intervention but also on empowering clients through evidence-based strategies that foster resilience and personal growth.

• A valid license in the state of New York as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and empathetically, building trust with clients through integrity and compassion.
• Exemplary organizational and time-management skills, essential for managing a varied caseload and meeting administrative demands.
• Commitment to practicing within the ethical framework and standards of mental health services.

• Previous experience conducting teletherapy sessions effectively, demonstrating familiarity with remote platforms and maintaining client engagement in a digital space.
• Proven track record in developing therapeutic techniques adapted to meet the unique needs of individual clients.
• Experience working with a multicultural client base and an understanding of the diverse social determinants that affect mental health.
