Job Description:
Student Lab Assistants are responsible for assisting the lab coordinator with the set up and breakdown of Microbiology and/or Anatomy and Physiology labs.
  • Daily tasks include wipe down benchtops,
  • change bench paper,
  • sterilize safety glasses,
  • clean and put away any used materials,
  • re-fill water and ethanol bottles,
  • replace empty glove boxes,
  • wash glassware and put away,
  • set up anatomy models on benchtops,
  • assist in preparing microbiology reagents.

Requirements:
Candidate must be a currently enrolled student at Mercer University.
Majoring and/or minoring in Biology or a closely related field is a plus.
Previous lab experience is strongly preferred.
Pay rate starts at $10.80/hour.
