We are looking for a Senior Claims Advisor to join our team in our Montreal or Laval office!

As a Senior Claims Advisor, you will be responsible for processing clientsโ€™ claims by reviewing relevant policies, investigating losses, conducting coverage analysis, and reporting losses to the insurer. You will also be responsible for liaising between the client and the insurer to guarantee maximum satisfaction and maintain good relationships with both parties.

Your Day as a Senior Claim Advisor

  • Review relevant policies upon notification of a new claim and report loss to the insurer.
  • Confirm coverages included in the insurance policy.
  • Review claimsโ€™ documentation.
  • Conduct claims and coverage analysis and recommend solutions to coverage issues.
  • Estimate damages and losses suffered to settle the claim and appoint vendors as necessary.
  • Negotiate payments and reimbursements with the insurers on the clientโ€™s behalf.
  • Update the client on the status of the claim as needed.
  • Enter and maintain current and accurate information in the appropriate electronic file system.
  • Maintain current and accurate files and documentation for each claim
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with adjusters, insurers, and suppliers.
  • Prepare and update loss bordereaux.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with clients to provide updates on active claims.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of insurance coverages with experience in handling construction claims.
  • Claims Adjusterโ€™s license issued by the AMF
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and in English as the candidate will be required to interact in English with stakeholders (colleagues and clients) outside Quรฉbec.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Resourceful, customer-focused focused, and service-oriented.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
