Dental Billing Assistant Full-Time
Location: Alpharetta Office

Blue Monster Management / A Smile 4U is a privately owned dental group with locations in Decatur, East Point, Dalton, and Hiram. Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and advanced scheduling technology, we offer multiple specialties under one roof-including general dentistry, sedation dentistry, and oral surgery. We proudly serve both pediatric and adult patients and are committed to delivering a positive and memorable experience for all ages.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Dental Billing Assistant to support insurance billing and collections across our six dental practices. This role is essential to ensuring accurate claims processing, timely reimbursements, and a strong revenue cycle.


Key Responsibilities

Insurance Billing & Claims

  • Submit accurate dental insurance claims (electronic and paper), including GA Medicaid, CMO, and PPO.
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits prior to patient appointments.
  • Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, and resubmissions.
  • Post insurance payments and adjustments accurately.

Patient Billing

  • Coordinate billing procedures with front desk and treatment coordinators.
  • Generate and send patient statements.
  • Communicate with patients regarding insurance coverage and account balances.

Revenue Cycle Management

  • Monitor A/R reports and follow up on outstanding insurance and patient balances.
  • Stay current on dental insurance regulations and coding practices (e.g., CDT codes).
  • Analyze trends in claim denials and implement corrective actions.

Team Collaboration

  • Train front desk staff and supervise billing team members.
  • Collaborate with front office and clinical staff to ensure smooth billing workflows.
  • Maintain open communication across departments regarding insurance updates and billing protocols.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and insurance billing regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records for audits and reporting.
  • Stay informed on changes in dental insurance policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Dental insurance billing required; GA Medicaid
  • Knowledge: Proficiency in dental billing software (Planet DDS Denticon experience is a plus).
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of dental coding (CDT codes) and insurance processes.
    • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
