Job description

Paradigm is seeking an Electronics Quality Inspector to support our client’s electronics manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for inspecting electronic assemblies, documenting defects, completing quality reports, and ensuring products meet IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, AS9102, and internal quality standards.

The ideal candidate has electronics inspection experience, strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to inspect components and assemblies using microscopes, automated optical inspection systems, and other inspection equipment.

Type: 6 month contract-to-hire
Shift: Day Shift (5:00AM - 3:30pm, Mon - Thurs)
Location: On-site, Vancouver, WA

As a Quality Inspector, you will:
  • Inspect electronic assemblies using 3D automated optical inspection systems and determine acceptance based on the applicable IPC-A-610 class
  • Perform final inspections of electronic assemblies and determine whether products meet established quality standards
  • Operate automated optical inspection systems, X-ray equipment, board washers, and related equipment according to work instructions
  • Document defects, complete defect tracking records, and create non-conformance and discrepancy material reports
  • Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection reports and submit documentation to the Quality Assurance team
  • Use the Manufacturing Execution System to track work time and job status
  • Read, understand, and navigate Fusion documentation, procedures, and work instructions
  • Help update procedures and work instructions to reflect current manufacturing and inspection processes
  • Follow safety, ESD, ITAR, Quality Management System, Lean, and 6S standards while identifying opportunities for process improvement


Requirements
Our skills and experience wish list includes:
  • Current IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001 certification
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 electronic assembly inspection standards
  • Ability to inspect electronic components and assemblies using a microscope
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to enter inspection and defect information into databases
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures, work instructions, and Quality Management System requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SMT and Final Quality Assurance certifications
  • Ability to obtain IPC-7711 certification when required by the team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous final inspection experience within the electronics manufacturing industry
  • Previous electronic assembly or printed circuit board inspection experience
  • Experience operating automated optical inspection or X-ray equipment
  • Experience completing AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation
