Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Buffalo, MN
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $22 - $30 Hourly

Job Overview: An inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet specific standards of quality before they are distributed or sold. Their duties involve examining materials, components, and finished products for defects or inconsistencies, measuring products against predefined criteria, and conducting tests to verify quality. Inspectors document their findings, report any issues, and may work closely with production teams to address problems and implement improvements. This role requires keen attention to detail, knowledge of industry standards, and the ability to use various inspection tools and techniques to maintain product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Check Production 1st piece, in process and last piece to verify the parts meet the customer's specifications.
  • Works with supervisors and operators to make necessary adjustments as are needed.
  • Records inspection results.
  • Measures and Records data for First Article Reports.
  • Measures and records plating thickness.
  • Final Inspection / authorization to ship product.
  • May assist in Incoming Inspection.
  • Performs equipment calibration per schedule.
  • Maintains an organized work area.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned and required.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient in use of a variety of measuring equipment.
  • Proficient blueprint reading skills and be ability to figure a flat layout from a formed view.
  • Proficient math skills.
  • Experience with SPC, CPK, Xbar and R charts, Pareto Diagrams, FMEA, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Experience with metal manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with the ISO 9001 standards for documentation and record keeping.
  • Demonstrated experience with quality assurance practices.
