Job description

Position Summary:

Performs analysis of body fluids and exudates. Performs various chemical procedures on specimens using several laboratory equipments. Performs quality control procedures, linearities, instrument checks and maintenance of instruments. Records workload and other statistics. Calculates and tabulates results and makes reports of observations. Post tests findings.


Qualifications/Requirements

Education

Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or

Bachelor of Science with a chemical, physical or biologic science as a major subject and

minimum one year training in a clinical laboratory or

Associate in Arts in Medical Laboratory Science with a full semester of hospital training.

Required licensures/certifications

Current Florida license as a Medical Technologist in all specialties

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge and understanding of the Laboratory work flow.

Good oral and written communication skills

Experience

Minimum 1 year in hospital experience preferred in the field.
