Job description

Position Summary

The Airline Relations Coordinator is responsible for managing and building relationships with our primary carrier airlines. Within CNW’s operations, our airline relations team not only manages relationships with carriers but functions as a group that oversees and monitors shipments, to ensure that they are onboard on the desired flight/route.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with airlines by effectively communicating  the company’s operational dynamics and requirements.

  • Proactively reach out to partners and acquire the capacity for prospective time-sensitive shipments.

  • Coordinate the loading and offloading of a shipment at critical stages via communication with carriers at respective ports.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, ground agents, and service providers to ensure all operational details are executed according to plan and client expectations.

  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, including customs, TSA, IATA, and other relevant bodies, for each movement.

  • Maintain accurate records of communications, bookings, and exceptions to support internal audits and operational transparency.

  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline logistics workflows and enhance service performance.

  • Oversee the correctness of information in a job and manage the planned routes.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Operations Management or similar required.

  • Prior Experience in Logistics/Transportation/Customer Service: Experience in Air Freight preferred.

  • Ability to handle and work under pressure and make timely decisions.

  • Strong attention to detail and active listening skills.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work with TMS (Transportation Management System) and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must be able to work variable shifts (day and night) including weekends and holidays.
