Field Engineer (Construction) - Pittsburgh and Erie, PA Regions

The Lindy Group is hiring Field Engineers to support our growing field operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals in civil engineering or construction management looking to gain hands-on experience in heavy civil, asphalt, and infrastructure projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret plans and specifications to support field crews
  • Track daily production, labor, equipment, and material costs
  • Prepare daily reports and analyze project performance vs. budget
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and monitor project progress
  • Assist with project documentation, schedules, and subcontractor coordination
  • Create sketches and support construction phasing and planning
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and field teams

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced field environment
  • Experience with PennDOT or Turnpike projects is a plus
