Job description

We have an opening for a Field Engineer to work on a healthcare project(s) in San Antonio, TX.
The project consists of a 16,000 square foot MOB tenant finish of the 5th floor of the University Health Retama Community Hospital building located at 16300 Retama Pkwy, Selma, TX 78154. The work includes exam rooms, offices, nurses stations, associated medical spaces and restrooms, medical assistant spaces, waiting and reception areas, and storage space.

The project is anticipated to be complete in June 2027. We have quite a bit of opportunity in the area for future work as well.
Summary
Field Engineers directly oversee and manage all tasks assigned to them by the project superintendent in the construction process to insure 100% client satisfaction.

The field engineer participates in a decision-making capacity, demonstration of leadership skills and seeking improvements in systems and standards to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. There are no jobs or that are beyond the role of a field engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:
1.Assist the Superintendent a/o Assistant Superintendent in all TNC processes and job responsibilities.
2.Review Soils Report with superintendent for interior and exterior recommendations.
3.Participate in performing 'First in Place' documentation


4.Participate in submittal review so that you understand proper installations for FIP documentation
5.Participate and attend 3-Week Look Ahead; Weekly Subcontractor / Foreman Coordination Meetings so that you understand direction and flow of the work taking place.
6.Learn how to use Raken in the event you must produce Daily Logs
7.Meet with Safety Director for SOWSC Training. Know what to do in the evident of an accident / emergency.
8.Train with Field Apps prior to using on a project. Request help in reviewing submittals so that you understand how the submittal ties into FIP documentation

Become proficient in the concise and thorough documentation. FIP documentation creates the history that can be utilized by any TNC employee.
9.Learn DD Ground (progress photographs) prior to using the hardware and software on a jobsite.
10.Wear tools if required
11.Field staff are required to do whatever it takes to get the job done on time and within budget. If it means performing labor, carpentry, assistant superintendent duties and/or site engineering work - do it!
Qualifications:
*One or more years" field experience in commercial construction
*Ability and willingness to travel and relocate as needed
*Basic safety certifications
*Driver"s license
*Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position such as lifting, etc.
