Field Engineer - Structured Cabling & OSP
On-Site | New Albany, OH | Contract-to-Hire
We're looking for a Field Engineer who wants to step into a high-impact role supporting large-scale structured cabling and OSP projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems in the field, leading quality installations, and being the go-to expert for fiber, materials, and project feasibility. What You'll Do
  • Lead technical execution for structured cabling and OSP work
  • Review drawings, cable schedules, BOMs, and project specs
  • Perform testing, verification, inspections, and punch-list closeout
  • Support project managers with technical guidance throughout the lifecycle
  • Conduct site walks, identify constraints, and recommend solutions
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and field teams to ensure alignment
  • Serve as the technical liaison between field operations and GC
  • Provide input on materials, procurement, and constructability
  • Support training, best practices, and quality initiatives
