Title: Medical Device Tester II
Location: Plano, TX
Duration: 6 Months
100% Onsite
Position Summary
The Medical Device Tester II will be responsible for executing and supporting verification and validation activities for medical device systems. This role involves manual, automated, and integration testing, ensuring product quality and compliance within a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to develop and execute test strategies, identify defects, and ensure full test coverage aligned with product requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform manual, integration, and automated testing of medical device products
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test protocols
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and testing activities
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA
  • Translate product requirements into structured test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage
  • Utilize hardware testing tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, DAQ systems) to support validation activities
  • Support system-level testing, including firmware/software integration
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards within a highly regulated industry

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with manual, integration, and automated testing
  • Proficiency with defect tracking tools such as JIRA
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (medical device, automotive, defense, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of hardware testing tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, DAQ systems)
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience developing test plans, test cases, and protocols

Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with Polariton ALM
  • Familiarity with firmware/software integration testing
  • Experience with Python development
  • Experience developing or utilizing automation frameworks (Appium, Selenium)
  • Background working with electromechanical implantable devices
  • Experience translating complex product requirements into test strategies
