Job description

  • Steward the product line and preserve product vision, simplicity, usability, and HCP confidence across releases
  • Lead MVP shaping within an established roadmap and make tradeoffs across scope, risk, usability, and delivery timing
  • Coach Principal through Associate Product Managers through ambiguity and complexity
  • Ensure product managers create clear product definitions, requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with Marketing to clarify product vision and drive commercial success
  • Partner with PMO, Marketing, and Development as a leadership team member for the solution/product line
  • Guide product managers and product owners in delivering a cohesive product vision
  • Evangelize the product to the product team
  • Own a platform or solution and its release roadmap
  • Align product metrics with organizational KPIs
  • Develop analytics methods and collect user insights to shape vision and strategy
  • Define solutions and oversee the product through delivery
  • Partner with the Systems Architect to align architectural and feature roadmaps
  • Work with strategic technical partners in the technology organization
  • Provide leadership and enthusiasm to the program team
  • Manage portfolio-level scope and assess scope change requests
  • Enhance product-management discovery and delivery processes
  • Define and manage product-management metrics
  • Ensure the product is delivered on time and within budget with Program Management
  • Work in an Agile environment and own the solution backlog
  • Ensure development work is ready and understood by development teams
  • Participate in and help drive user-experience research

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in the field, with 10 years of software development experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 7 yearsโ€™ experience as a product manager
  • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the medical device product development lifecycle, with multiple releases of experience
  • Class II+ medical device experience
  • Knowledge to approve design history file elements and defend in audits as responsible for product
  • Experience working with cross-functional disciplines including engineering, UX and human factors, software engineering, cloud architecture, clinical, regulatory, and commercial functions
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Product backlog ownership experience
  • User-experience research experience
  • Strategic roadmap and product metrics experience
