Our Wheeling facility combines precision machining and assembly capabilities to deliver high-quality medical device components and finished products.
About the role:
Hours: Monday -Friday 8:00am - 4:00 pm (includes 20 minute paid lunch)
The coordinator supports daily logistics activities and contributes to efficient warehouse operations through effective communication, accurate documentation, and strong problem-solving skills. Under the direction of the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor, the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing all inbound and outbound shipments, as well as the receipt of components, in alignment with established practices and procedures. This role ensures inventory accuracy, shipment timeliness, and compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
We offer market competitive compensation. The potential compensation range for this role is $20/hr. to $25/hr. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
What you'll do:
  • Follows all FDA and ISO 134985 specifications & remains current with required training/certifications
  • Follows all personal and manufacturing Good Manufacturing Practices as defined by Viant practices
  • Prepare and process inbound/outbound shipments using ERP system
  • Verify order accuracy, packaging integrity and proper labeling
  • Insures incoming and outgoing product and inventory are correctly shipped and entered in the ERP system for production planning, accuracy, and traceability purposes
  • Operate Forklift or other material handling equipment to load and unload materials safely
  • Assure all materials, components and products are shipped on time to meet customer requirements
  • Inspect shipments and communicate discrepancies regarding quantities, damage or incorrect items
  • Prepares proper documentation for US and international shipments as required
  • Responsible for the receipt of goods, return to vendors, and flow of material throughout incoming process
  • Maintains 5s principles in all work areas of shipping and receiving
  • Collaborates with production, purchasing, customer service and quality teams
  • Flexible schedule will be required to meet business needs, some overtime, weekend, and on call hours may be required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Knowledge/Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work, shipping, receiving, overall warehouse experience within manufacturing environment

Skills/Competencies
  • Knowledge of shipping & receiving product flow, digital scales, ERP system, and cycle counts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and with fellow team members
  • Attention to detail and organization skills
  • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination
  • Extended periods of bending, lifting, walking and standing
  • Significant use of hands
  • Frequently required to lift up to 25 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs. with team lift
  • Warehouse environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
  • Use of PPE per departmental standards
