Job description

Mobile Device Engineer

Olympus Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time, highly motivated Mobile Device Engineer with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to join our fast-growing team to support the SEC Infrastructure Support Services 2 (ISS2) program. In this role, you will provide end-to-end deployment support of mobile devices to SEC end users, configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting mobile devices in an enterprise environment, managing device inventory, and ensuring all mobile devices conform to SEC security and compliance policies.

This is a hybrid position. Candidates must reside within 250 miles of Washington, DC.

Duties and Responsibilities

Mobile Device Deployment and Configuration

  • Provide end-to-end deployment support of mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) to SEC end users.
  • Perform initial configuration of all mobile devices to conform with current SEC mobile device policy and security requirements.
  • Configure and manage devices through Microsoft Intune, including device enrollment, policy application, and compliance monitoring.
  • Support device lifecycle activities, including provisioning, refresh, and secure decommissioning.

Inventory and Asset Management

  • Perform inventory control of mobile devices, maintaining inventory levels as specified by asset management standards.
  • Track device assignments, warranty status, and lifecycle stage in enterprise asset management systems.
  • Coordinate with carriers and vendors for device procurement, SIM card support, and service activation.
  • Maintain accurate records of all mobile device assets in the ServiceNow CMDB.

Troubleshooting and User Support

  • Perform troubleshooting and incident resolution for all issues related to mobile devices (iOS, Android, Windows mobile).
  • Support wireless device connectivity, email configuration, application deployment, and security policy enforcement.
  • Resolve password resets, remote wipes, device locks, and re-enrollment issues through Intune and Apple Business Manager.
  • Provide end-user training on mobile device setup, security practices, and self-service capabilities.

Security and Compliance

  • Ensure mobile devices comply with SEC security policies, including encryption, MDM enrollment, and conditional access.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and patching for mobile platforms as directed by security teams.
  • Document mobile device procedures, configurations, and support processes for audit readiness.
  • Coordinate with security teams on lost and stolen device response procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in mobile device deployment and endpoint support in an enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated experience providing end-to-end mobile device deployment and support in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and managing devices through Microsoft Intune.
  • Experience supporting iOS, Android, and Windows mobile platforms.
  • Familiarity with Apple Business Manager, MDM enrollment, and conditional access.
  • Experience with mobile device inventory control and asset management practices.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required; dual citizenship is not permitted.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with the ServiceNow CMDB and enterprise asset management systems.
  • Familiarity with carrier and vendor coordination for device procurement and activation.
  • Relevant mobility or endpoint management certifications.
