Sales Consultant, Cell and Gene Therapy - Welders

Responsible for contracting and expanding business for Terumoโ€™s sterile welding technology with biotech, pharma, and academic customers in the U.S. Activities include crossโ€‘selling and upโ€‘selling the Cell and Gene Therapy portfolio, training, and service coordination.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Generate leads in target segments to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Prioritize pharma and biotech customers to identify opportunities and develop new business.
  • Apply a consultative sales approach to understand customer problems and identify sales opportunities.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual plans, and track opportunity progress and trends.
  • Maintain account, customer, and opportunity profiles in CRM.
  • Manage customer training needs and facilitate relationship building.
  • Continuously improve therapy, scientific, and technical knowledge, as well as sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Stay informed on scientific and industry trends.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Communicate the valueโ€‘add of Terumo BCT products.
  • Provide feedback on messaging, tactics, and marketplace changes.
  • Collaborate with crossโ€‘functional partners to meet customer needs.
  • Work with marketing to develop customer messaging and support materials.
  • Create, monitor, and revise lead generation plans.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent education and experience sufficient to perform job duties.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of consultative sales experience in biotech, medical device, or related industry; 5 years preferred.
