Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Telecommunications Support Technician - Onsite position with a Renowned Healthcare Organization located in Rochester, MN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
Compensation: $20.00 - 23.00 per hour, W2
Position Overview:
This position works collaboratively in a team environment to support communication device operations. The incumbent will work closely with clinical staff, operational staff, and Information Technology personnel to manage the operational lifecycle of communication devices utilized throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for receiving, programming, configuring, testing, deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, tracking, and retiring paging devices and related communication equipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and asset accountability for communication devices supporting clinical and operational staff across the enterprise
  • Perform daily activities associated with communication device provisioning, inventory control, repair, distribution, shipping, receiving, and lifecycle management
  • Receive and process returned devices, conduct functional testing and quality assurance reviews, perform minor repairs, and prepare equipment for redeployment
  • Support fulfillment of device requests and coordinate shipments to various company locations
  • Maintain inventory levels, monitor asset utilization, conduct inventory audits, and ensure accurate documentation within asset tracking systems
  • Assist with communication equipment replacement programs, device refresh activities, and disposal processes while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and operational procedures
  • Support communication device operations by troubleshooting hardware issues, coordinating escalations when necessary, maintaining operational documentation, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives

Primary Requirements:
  • High School diploma/GED and two (2) years of telecommunications, technology support, inventory management, logistics, asset management, or related experience OR Associate's degree
  • Strong organizational, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and manage inventory within established processes and procedures
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and asset tracking or inventory management systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while independently managing assigned responsibilities
  • Must be adaptable and flexible in an ever-changing work environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Requires basic troubleshooting and hardware support skills
  • Ability to identify issues, perform routine maintenance and minor device repairs, and coordinate resolution of more complex technical issues
  • Demonstrates a commitment to customer service and operational excellence while supporting critical communication technologies

Desired Skills:
  • Experience supporting healthcare communication systems
  • Experience with paging systems, telecommunications equipment, wireless communication devices, or mobile device management
  • Experience with inventory control, asset lifecycle management, shipping, receiving, and logistics operations
  • Experience performing device configuration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting activities
  • Experience using enterprise asset management or inventory tracking systems
