Job Title: Senior Solution Architect Client: Client Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States Type: Contract To Hire Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0 Security Clearance: Not specified in the provided information Overview Responsibilities * Support enterprise clients in designing modern, scalable, and cloud-native solutions to drive digital transformation. * Collaborate with engineering teams to review technical designs, guide solution implementation, and resolve architectural challenges. * Work closely with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and enterprise architects to define technology roadmaps and enterprise-scale solutions. * Design secure, resilient, and scalable enterprise applications leveraging cloud-native architectures, microservices, and event-driven systems. * Lead application modernization initiatives, including cloud migration and legacy transformation projects. * Develop architecture blueprints, reference models, and integration strategies ensuring adherence to enterprise standards. * Participate in architecture review boards and contribute to governance standards throughout the SDLC. * Champion innovation using AI, automation, and emerging cloud technologies to enhance engineering practices. * Mentor architects and development teams on best practices, principles, and engineering excellence. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. * 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise application development. * Proven success leading architecture decisions across multiple projects supporting complex business environments. * Experience designing enterprise-scale, cloud-native applications using technologies such as Java, Python, AWS, Azure, and GCP (preferred). * Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, enterprise integration patterns, API-first design, and distributed systems. * Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. * Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, and GitHub. * Knowledge of data technologies including SQL, relational databases, and data modeling. * Understanding of AI and emerging technologies like Generative AI, AI-assisted development, and automation. * Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF or similar) and cloud migration/modernization initiatives (highly desirable). * Excellent collaboration skills, ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, and ability to lead technical teams in a distributed environment.
