Description
The Cardiopulmonary Technician provides bedside respiratory care to patients as assigned by the
manager, based on physician's written orders, for both in-house and outpatient care.
Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program approved by the Commission on
Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current Wyoming Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligibility with intent to
obtain prior to hire)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within six months of hire
due to OB and nursery support
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification strongly preferred or required
within one year of hire
• Participation in annual mandatory training, competencies, and bi-annual code blue drills
• Knowledge and performance of infection control, safety, and quality assurance
standards
